Over the course of the years, Marc Jacobs, the creative director who took over the reins of Louis Vuitton since 1997 by designing its very first ready-to-wear clothing line, has collaborated with some of the world's most interesting and passionate artists including Stephen Sprouse and Takashi Murakami. Recently, he renewed this experience with another of Japan's most creative mind; Yayoi Kusama. As a matter of fact, Jacobs has grown to be a major Kusama fan even paying visit to her several years ago (2006). The now 82-year-old collaborator is mostly known for her polka dots that she can declined in every way imaginable! Accordingly to Jacobs; "The dot represents something that has no points, no hard edges and it's infinite."
This past summer the first part of the collection launched featuring jewelry, clohting, shoes and more. The second part was made available in mid-september and included an entire handbags collection displayed in certainly one of the most extraordinaire window displays Louis Vuitton has ever known.
We, at StylX.net, highly recommend purchasing an item from this fabulous capsule as it is a collection that is set to be flying off the shelves and age gracefully. The collection is in general bright, colorful and unique communicating a certain vitality/energy that is guaranteed to put you in a good mood! Just be sure to not go overboard and wear an head-to-toe polka dot outfit!
