Everybody who is anybody has posed before his lenses, be it supermodels, recording artists, stars of the silver screen and even members of royal dynasties throughout the world. As a matter of fact, Mario Testino has shot over the last three decades more celebrities than one could count but the highpoint of his blossoming career was undoubtedly when Lady Di assigned him for her photo spread in Vanity Fair (August, 1997).
Over the years, the Lima-native published several books (1998,1999,2001,2002,2003) reuniting his most famous and infamous pieces. More recently, the 58-year-old Peruvian artist presented "Kate Moss by Mario Testino" a work that shows off the many sides of one of the most prolific and recognized model ever, as the latter and the photographer quickly became close friends (he was her wedding photographer in 2011).
For more than ten years now, The National Portrait Gallery in London showcased the landmark exhibition "Portraits" which is still ongoing and remains the highest attendance ever held there. Hence, we can understand why the exhibition was exported internationally; Milan, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Tokyo, Mexico City and closer to us in Boston. In fact, if you get the chance, we strongly suggest you going to witness the way Testino captures the essence of the person he is photographing. We, at StylX.net, are particularly fond of his fashion campaigns whether it is for a couture house or a ready-to-wear label. Please share with us which campaign is your favourite in our Photo Booth area!
