Royal Maternity Style : Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge

Ever since being in the spotlight during her courtship with Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge has, season after season, reaffirmed her style icon status. The apotheosis of her influence is undeniably when she walked down the aisle in the intricate lace gown she helped Sarah Burton (creative director at Alexander McQueen) create  for what would be the wedding of the decade if not the century. Afterwards, her style has been decorticated by numbers of StylXtas, the entire Blogosphere and Twittosphere and it is her impeccable style, modern approach and often inexpensive choices that have kept us, at StylX.net, on our feet whether running errands of attending the fanciest diplomatic dinners, she always nails it!

During the pregnancy of George Alexander Louis, the now world-renowed taste of Kate Middleton has been reflected by bold and savvy clothing, making the most of her new figure. Her go-to designers were essentially Mulberry, Alexander McQueen, Jenny Packham, Tara Jarmon and Erdem but she was also seen wearing pieces from Top Shop and Ralph Lauren. She made it seem so effortless and we had to sum up her maternity style; fitting coats in bright colours and always short so that it showcases her fantastic legs, empire waist that define her changing body and various and interesting prints be it florals or sparkles.

At their leave from Saint-Mary's Hospital, the Duchess commemorated Lady Di by wearing a soft blue Jenny Packham dress with white polka dots referring to what Diana wore when presenting baby William to the world. We are wondering what will everybody wear at the royal baptism. Let's just bet that hats will be worn
